Artist Updates

Updated: Sep 12, 2020

I wanted to acknowledge everyone who has been supporting my work. Thank you for all of the likes, comments, questions, and shares! My audience has doubled in the past month and I am overwhelmed with joy how many people have been able to connect with my work. I apologize for any delayed responses, it has been hectic in my studio lately. I am eager to share a few updates!

Another huge thank you to The Village of Arts and Humanities in Philadelphia for granting me an award from their Emergency Gap Fund. This money will assist with organization of workshops at the pier and allow me to continue creating. The workshops I will be holding at the pier are expressive and will focus on fluid art and sensory based painting for all ages. I will be combining knowledge from working as a mental health technician in the system and skills that I have developed as an artist in hopes to help people communicate and understand what colors can reveal emotionally. Since I am a resident at Cherry Street Pier, this is something I am always looking for feedback on or suggestions! If you or someone you know is interested in seeing more of what I do and/or assisting with studio days I am always looking for volunteers!

In addition to workshops you can find me in studio 13 working on a new series titled Mi Amor. My Twin Flame piece caught so much attention on Instagram I decided to create an entire series inspired by love and soul connections.

You can now find me on Houzz as well! Houzz is an American website and online community that revolves around architecture, interior design/decorating, landscape design and home improvement. I will be using this site to take on commissions and sell my work and keep everyone up to date with my current projects.

I was fortunate enough to be discovered by The Fairway Edition and will be published in their September print as the two page spread centerfold, stay up to date with more about this by following my Instagram stories! @samnicoleart

Lastly, this week I will be added to Trapxart’s creative directory! Be sure to check it out!

Workshops and commissions are appointment only at this time.

POST 2020 has been postponed to next year.

Stay happy and healthy,

"I hope to one day raise enough money through my art to start connecting with after school organizations to create more access to expressive arts for inner city kids. "
